Dallas Edge, APCC
Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor 11789 Supervised by Glen Hilton, LMFT
Dallas is a University of San Diego alumni. Dallas has studied several perspectives and modalities in counseling, but primarily treats through either a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lens or through the utilization of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Dallas has worked with a wide range of clientele, predominantly children and youth ages 5 to 18 years of age and their families in individual and group settings. Dallas’ previous experiences also focused on motivation and mentorship of minority African American youth by providing safe spaces and both educational and recreational resources to youth and their families. Currently, Dallas enjoys his work with youth and families. However, his future professional goals include broadening his focus to encompass more work with athletes. Dallas was driven into this field by his long-term interest in the study of psychology, and his passion to help improve mental health awareness and accessibility within underrepresented communities. Having gained a better understanding of the importance of acceptance, empathy, and cultural humility through his journey as a therapist, Dallas finds the ultimate reward in his work from assisting others to grow, meeting their therapeutic goals, and eventually helping them become the best version of themselves.
