Tauree Dunsey, ACSW

Tauree enjoys working with a wide range of clients, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, and complex family dynamics. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals impacted by trauma. Additionally, as a certified Autism-Informed Specialist, Tauree enjoys working with differently-abled and neurodivergent individuals, ensuring an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment. She integrates a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and play-based therapy strategies, to create a holistic and personalized approach to care. Tauree has experience developing clinically based curriculums and has worked in day programs, school-based counseling, and outpatient programs serving foster youth and teens. Her diverse background allows her to tailor treatment approaches to best meet the unique needs of her clients. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University, equipping her with the knowledge and training to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

Kimberly understands the strength it takes to seek help and provides a safe space for clients to open up and express themselves. Her primary focus is creating a comfortable environment as individuals begin their journey toward healing, and she enjoys working with children, teens, individuals, and couples. In her sessions, Kimberly utilizes cognitive behavioral and emotion-focused theories, while also incorporating play-based and family systems interventions. She brings a wealth of experience from her early career in schools and at-home therapy, collaborating closely with parents and families to support children and teenagers facing challenges both in school and at home. Her extensive background also includes working with families navigating significant changes, such as divorce, adoption, and blended family dynamics. At Grow Through Life Counseling, Kimberly continues to serve children, teens, and families, while also assisting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. Additionally, she works with couples to overcome both past and present obstacles by enhancing communication and using emotion-focused interventions. Stephanie joined Grow Through Life Counseling in 2023.
Rebecca "Becca" Kerruish, AMFT, APCC​

Becca enjoys supporting ADHD, Autism, Differently-abled, and LGBTQ+ communities. They use gender-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and person-centered approaches in their work with clients. Becca believes that a secure relationship, trust, acceptance, and honoring all parts of a person's intersectionality are the keys to positive therapy outcomes. They use a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions to meet the needs of the individual, couple, or family they are working with. Becca has specialized experience working with neurodivergent children, teens, and adults. Their professional experience includes residential, non-profit, and private practice settings. They graduated from National University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and are trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Abel Pena, LMFT

Abel enjoys working with teens, adults, couples and families in providing care. He has experience working with military families and treating anxiety, depression and transitions. He has prior work experience with children and families in a substance abuse treatment program and in transitioning children back home after being placed into protective custody by Child Welfare Services. Also, he worked with adults with severe mental illness in two of San Diego County's Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinics. He has conducted assessments and provided individual care. He has also conducted group therapy on topics such as: anger Management, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and a men's group. In 2015, he was contracted with the San Diego Regional Center providing individual and group therapy to adults with Borderline Intellectual Disabilities, using a Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach. He is married and has five daughters. He completed his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2003. He was born in Mexico; then immigrated at a young age with his adoptive parents and brother. He is bilingual and provides care in both English and Spanish. Abel joined Grow Through Life Counseling in 2023 in Murrieta to support his community.

Kelly graduated from Loma Linda University with a Masters of Science in Counseling and is a LicensedProfessional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 9953) and certified School Counselor (PPS). Kelly has worked in a variety of settings, including; middle and high schools, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and mental health hospitals. Kelly has an extensive history of working with adolescents and various diagnoses. She has been thoroughly trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kelly uses her creativity and enthusiasm for the field to provide fun and informative psycho-education groups. Aside from clinical work, Kelly has an extensive history of working with the public and providing assistance with government aid. Kelly utilizes her sense of humor and strong communication skills to foster connection with clients and their family. Kelly’s background in professional communication has enabled her to effectively advocate for the needs of her clients. Kelly is very passionate towards therapy and has dedicated herself to a career designed to work with those in need.
